A World Wide Fund for Nature report says the lifestyles of citizens of
US, UAE and Singapore are putting the most pressure on global ecosystems. If every human
alive today consumed natural resources and emitted carbon dioxide at the same rate as
these countries at least another two earths would be needed.

There are more than 100,000 indigenous rice
varieties in India. If you wanted to eat a different variety of rice each day and never
repeat it, you would be able to do it for around 274 years. Now that is about the richness
of Indias biodiversity.
The sound levels produced by
fire crackers are between 145 to 160 dB (decibels) at the ear of a person standing 2 meter
from it. This is equivalent to the levels produced by a rifle (155dB), pistol (160dB) at
the ear of the gunman.
