RECYCLING GT |

| We really like Gobar Times, It is very
informative and fun to read. Your column on recycling garbage made us think a lot. In our
school we recycle paper and use it to make calendars, cards, notepads... We were just wondering if your magazines are printed on recycled
paper or not? If not you should start thinking about it.

We were very happy to read in
G T about low-cost toilets made by Sulabh. We have an 18-acre Gurukula, headed by Guru
Freddy, near Bangalore where all the vegetables and crops are grown totally with organic
manure. We have eight cattle whose dung is used to run our bio-gas plant, we have fruit
trees of almost all the varieties, and the once barren place is now a habitat for
66 species of birds, local and migratory. Adding to the fauna, we
have a panther with her cubs, who visit us every monsoon. We have also an Adventure
Training Academy at our premises, and being in an arid place, we have made deep trench
latrines, which is quite practical in all sense. However we are planning to make something
permanent and we happened to read something of its like in Gobar Times recently (July 15,
2002). Please send us Sulabh's e-mail ID. we would only be too grateful.
