Dear GSP partners,
As political parties brace up for a high-pitch, action filled election campaign, we have had to take a decision to postpone our Gobar Times Green Schools Programme (GTGSP) Awards Ceremony, scheduled to be held on 21 March,2014. As you are aware, we invite our stellar performers from different parts of India to Delhi, and present the Awards to them on a platform that is in essence and in composition truly National. In other words, the meet requires participants to travel, often very long distances. In the current backdrop, we feel it’s wiser to avoid this, especially since the teams are primarily made of school students, some of who are too young to deal with any kind of emergency.
It has not been an easy decision for us. But I hope you will understand that we cannot afford to take the slightest risk, when the safety of our constituency is at stake.
Anyway, we are only postponing it, and we promise to get back to you as soon as we set the new date. Meanwhile, we shall keep you posted.
