The land audit team members of this school produced one of the most visually impressive and accurate data sheets. While identifying plant species on campus, the students actually mapped them in the school. They produced layouts of different areas of the school like the playground, school office, and then identified where different plants and trees are positioned. (see picture above)
Salwan Public School (Morning), Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi:
Taking tips from presentations made at the Award ceremony presentations of 2006, this school, took up the activity of weighing waste methodically. Starting from January 2007, the school measured its waste every week without fail. The students have maintained a register, and most interestingly, all this has been done by the primary school students!
Kerala Public School, Kadma, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand:
It measured the total water consumption by monitoring the overhead tanks. They were filled in the morning and their level was checked in the evening . The water reuse was estimated by finding out the number of buckets reused.
