The Gobar Times Green Schools Awards were given away at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, on Monday, November 27, 2006. Students and teachers from Delhi and the rest of India were present in full strength.

Professor Krishna Kumar, director, NCERT, gave away the prizes to the top performers. "Do away with the text books. The use of hands and feet to learn is the best learning," he said.

A photogallery and five stalls were put up to showcase the behind-the-scenes action, which took place in various schools during the audit.
