Dear Panditji,
While going through your website, I found many people are interested in organic food. We have started an organic farm near Mysore and another in Alwar and I wanted to share our experience with others.

We grow organic crops, fruits and vegetables and also process some of the products organically. Since we got involved in this project we have felt that using organic food is actually a holistic way of living. It is good for the land, as the onslaught of harsh chemicals has been checked. And it’s good for our health too—we are eating healthy food. We appreciate Gobar Times’ initiative in spreading the message about organic farming. Keep it up!

Dear Panditji,
I am an English teacher in Thailand. I teach English grammar and simple usages we use in day-to-day language. However, despite my best efforts the stu-dents seem to dislike the way I teach. They find it irrelevant and most of them fail the grammar tests. My English classes were ago-nising and I had to do something to make my classes work! And then, while searching for teaching material on the Internet I came across the Gobar Times website.

Your stories caught my attention. I never imagined that such a thought-provoking magazine existed.

I now plan to teach English differently. I would like to have your permission to adapt some materi-al from your mag-azine for my classes, with due credits to Gobar

Times. Now I hope my stu-dents will enjoy learning English and get interesting and relevant informa-tion about social and environmental issues.

Dear Panditji
Two years ago I came across DTE and since then I have been a voracious reader of GT. It’s a very nice magazine. It presents the issues and problems about environment very interestingly. GT also gives valuable inputs on sci-ence that we use everyday. This magazine has made a great contri-bution in this area of environment education by taking a step forward in the right direction. I applaud your efforts.

Dear Panditji,
I am extremely happy that the Gobar Times supplement has been brought out with the Down To Earth issue of February 28, 2005.
I hope it will now be continued.

Dear Panditji,
Yes!!! Finally we have our Gobar Times back on our desk. The language of Panditji has changed too. Good! How long will you make Panditji a rustic boodhoo? It's high time we listened to the wisdom of this man. We must learn that we need to tread softly on Earth and not trample it.

I take workshops in schools on environment. The elite school kids always think that the dhoti-clad man on the road is either a politician (and hence a crook) or a boodhoo and can be taken for a ride. Or they are bechara. So the language change is what I like and am sure many like me will say so too.

My kids found the shirt tale a little confusing. It is probably the arrows.

On the whole, keeping the old popular style intact, the Gobar Times team has done a great job.

With the advent of summer why not do an issue on judicious use of water. And another Gandhi issue please? I am looking forward to GT with all my Down To Earth copies.

All the best for the team.
